Best hair loss treatment

I 'm 19 going on 20 and can tell and my hairline creeping behind me. I 've never had the largest hairline and my dad and grandpa have very fine hair. My grandpa who is almost bald on top. Do I understand that hair loss is genetic but mostly I'm there a way to prevent more? Or get what I 've already lost back?
