Best hair loss treatment

I 'm the 3rd in my recurrance of cancer and this time it' s in my head. Losing my hair when I had chemo was no big deal because it grows back, but now I 've said that I should have radiotherapy. That can cause permanent hair loss. I 've heard about a woman who used men' s Rogaine to prevent hair loss when she was in the radiation. Has anyone heard of this?

A little bit just wondering, I know his Chemo therapy causes hair loss and not the actual surgery but I just wonder if that ever happens with other types of diseases also??
